HILLSBORO, Ore. -The Northwest Conference office unveiled its weekly award winners on Monday with Pacific Lutheran University men's cross country runner Brad Hodkinson securing Runner of the Week accolades.

The All-American and defending NWC Champion earns the accolade after besting the 217-competitor field on Saturday at the University of Washington's Sundodger Invitational. The junior toured the 8,000-meter course in 24 minutes, 24.95 seconds, clocking a brisk 4:54 mile pace en route to the nine second win. Hodkinson additionally finished 40 seconds ahead of the next Division III competitor and helped the Lutes finish 13th overall as a team.

This is the third time over the past two seasons Hodkinson has earned NWC cross country runner of the week. The Snohomish, Washington native previously won the award on Sept. 19, 2016 and on Oct. 3, 2016.

Hodkinson and the Lutes will return to action on Sept. 30, traveling to Salem, Oregon for the Charles Bowles Invitational.
